YFCC Hosted by Webb Simpson

What is Webb Simpson's Youth For Christ Challenge?

The YFCC is not just a golf a tournament, but a challenge. It challenges every golfer in his game and his faith. This challenge of faith is evident in our theme verse Titus 3:3-7. We challenge every golfer to examine this passage and understand the truth it holds for their life. Through Jesus Christ we have a great hope and our prayer is to be able to show all 84 golfers the hope that Webb and myself have found.

The challenge is also a challenge for the golf game. The first two years the field has consisted of strong talent with a high percentage of its participants now playing at top D1 colleges in the country. The tournament will be a round on Saturday at Pine Needles and a round on Sunday at Mid Pines. Golfers will also have full access to the practice facilities for the entire weekend.

In addition to the tournament, the weekend will include two evening meetings, with a concert on Saturday night. Also, all meals from Friday evening through Sunday lunch will be provided. The players will stay in the Mid Pines Inn Golf Lodge which is where all the meetings and meals will take place. Once the players arrive on site, they will not need vehicles the whole weekend. There will also be a great amount of free time saturday afternoon and each night. Overall, the 120 golfers that have come through the YFCC the past two years have had many great things to say regarding the whole weekend. We constantly hear that it is one of the favorite tournaments for many, and the only negative comment that the players have stated is a lack of sleep because of how much fun they have hanging out with their friends, new and old, late into the night.

The Youth For Christ Challenge is a fun and inspiring time for all that are involved. Whether you just love to play golf in a competitive but fun atmosphere, enjoy hanging out for a weekend in Pinehurst, NC with other high school guys, or want to hang out with Webb and hear him share stories about his shank last year in Greensboro or his second win in the Deutsche Bank Championship, this challenge is for you. We invite you to join us November 16th-18th, 2012 at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club for a challenge that is unlike any other tournament around.

Sincerely,

Mark Bentley
Director

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:3-7 ESV)
